The Driver's Seat

The Driver’s Seat is a weekly motorsport show hosted by Steve Johnson and Matthew MacKeldon. The show provides motorsport fans, motoring enthusiasts and rev heads the latest news and results from the Supercars, Formula 1, Touring Car Masters, Moto GP and much more.  

The Driver’s Seat brings listeners interviews with motorsport’s high-profile drivers and riders, retired legends, the brightest up-and-coming talent and off-track personalities. 

 Regular segments see the hosts sink their teeth into the latest news and hottest issues as well as reminisce about their glory days in racing.

Steve Johnson is a former V8 Supercars driver and the son of legendary motor racing icon, Dick Johnson. Steve finished on the podium at Bathurst in 2007 and in 2013, he became the GM of the Dick Johnson Racing Team. Johnson currently competes in the Australian Touring Car Masters Series and is a Porsche, Audi and VW advanced driving instructor, in addition to being a self-confessed classic car enthusiast. 

 Matt MacKelden is a motorsport professional currently engaged in high-performance driver training at Fastrack Racing, and is also on-course commentator for V8 Ute Racing Australia as well as being a racing driver himself.
